I manually removed many of the usual suspects with Revo Uninstaller (on the most aggressive setting) and Windows Programs and Features for the ones that Revo could not find. You are a live savior. This worked very well for me for Firefox and Internet explorer.

It even looked suspicious and, instead of testing it in a sandbox first, I just run it and got a redirect virus. when i check the folder the hosts file is still not there pls help!!!! MBAM did remove it sucessfully once i used the latest virus update. Easy to follow instructions and only had to get as far as TDSSKiller to do the trick. Thanks, Tom.
