This is also a tricky rogue to remove, so please follow the instructions carefully. Right click on the internet security essentials icon and the clck properties and find the file location. I downloaded PE bulder but once it scans it tells me that there are no intallation files. I DL the rogueremover and it detected and deleted the spammed pop-ups that I was getting every 5 seconds....just wanted to say THANKS for the link!

It messed up the networking. This is a per user and per application setting, and denies access by default. Just trying to srpead the good word. I didn't have to do the first part of deleting specific files because luckily I didn't find them.
I opened in F8 ‘safety mode.' I went to the control program and deleted it from there. I still think this is what really fixed it, as it probably forced permissions to be correct. Now, it won't let me log into windows. Can I run my drivers/utilities CD that came w/ my computer to have bootup through the CD?
I apparently got it while searching for car parts, and opened a page (and subsequent pages) that was a listing of search engines, each performing the search that I had put So I did a complete restore from the CD, which starts from scratch by wiping everything off the computer. That way, you can choose to enable those signed macros or trust the publisher.
